Canal District Holiday Stroll 2024
The Canal District Holiday Stroll is a cherished annual tradition, bringing together the community for a festive day of shopping, dining, and holiday cheer. This self-guided event runs from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, highlighting the vibrant businesses of the Canal District and offering visitors the opportunity to explore local shops, enjoy special promotions, and participate in seasonal activities. The day culminates with a joyous tree lighting ceremony at Kelley Square, featuring community speakers and holiday festivities from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with the tree lighting taking place at 5:00 PM.
Event Highlights
• Self-Guided Business Stroll: Explore the neighborhood and enjoy exclusive promotions and activities at participating businesses.
• Toy Drive: Drop off donations for Toys for Tots at the Worcester Public Market.
• Photo Opportunities: Santa photo booth, sleigh photo booth, and Instagram contest at participating locations.
• Tree Lighting Ceremony: Join us at Kelley Square from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM for community speakers and the lighting of the holiday tree at 5:00 PM.
• Wagon Rides: Enjoy festive wagon rides near Jersey Mike's from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Parking Options For The Holiday Stroll Event

To support community events and the local small business economy throughout the holiday season, beginning on Small Business Saturday, parking will be free at all on-street metered spots throughout the city, as well as at the municipal surface lots on Green St., Water St., and Millbury St., on every Saturday from Nov. 30 to Dec. 28. Additionally, Union Station Garage will be free on Saturday, Dec. 7
